Is Bank was founded in 1924 and mandated by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The building itself dates back to 1898. It was originally used as a post office before being taken over by the bank in 1928. It opened as a museum in 2007 and contains various objects, documents, and photos from the bank and Turkish history.
